These devices are called Thumb or Jump Drives. They are essentially mini hard drives but without the moving parts. Most are smaller than a cigarette lighter and plug into a USB port. If you are running W2000 or XP an upside is the driver is built into the device, W98 requires a drive install from a disk but its typically provided. They come in all storage sized from 16mb to 4gb priced from $5 to $4000 dollars! This obsoletes Floppy drives! |
