Using PopNote's menu "Main/Send Clear" will also clear all five users buttons. The Echo return of what you send is confirmation of its delivery. Many of PopNote's menu choices are Toggles (one click on, another click off). There are many ways to record text chat, including but not limited to Auto Record. The last person to PopNote always has their IP displaying in the address window. If you include a URL in your text message, the recipient can click it to launch it. Closing PopNote re indexes and re writes the PopNoteA.CFG file. CAVEAT: PopNote by default does not detect a change in your IP after it is launched. The FQDN/IP window also serves as an input field for resolving FQDN's. The FQDN/IP window also serves as an input field for adding IPs. FTP_PN is totally secure and will not run without your approval. Internet routers now relay UDP with a 99.9999% guarantee of delivery. Turning "Cloak ON" stops your PopNote from Echoing back, making you invisible. The PopToy WAVE utility records and builds sound files at 11k per second. The PopToy VIEW utility is limited to displaying no more than 800x600 pixels. The biggest headache setting up PopNotes: Configuring your Firewall(s) to pass Port 54538 and 54539 in both directions. The next big headache: Running through the various hoops to obtain a free sub domain address. Why is a Sub Domain URL useful? It gives you a virtual permanent address on the Internet, overcoming ISP's who issue dynamic (changing) IP addresses. How a URL or FQDN works: You run a DNS "tickler" or "updater" on your PC that monitors your IP and reports changes to the DNS servers supporting your URL name. A URL, FQDN or sub domain all do the same thing, resolve vi DNS to an IP. Finally, if you knew everything mentioned above you can give yourself the title of "The Supreme Magnanimous Exalted PooBar of PopNotes", or an Expert Popper for sure :) 73, Mike K5HUM
